Why You should Join the Atlanta Alumnae Chapter
  • Carry On Our Sisterhood

Joining our alumnae chapter helps foster lifelong friendships and networking among AOII sisters. Events we host throughout the year include Sisters Nights Out, Founders Day, IIOA events, friends and family picnics, Strike-Out Arthritis, and Wine, Women, and Roses. Dues payments help offset event costs and allow us to host more events throughout the year.

  • Stay Informed

Our members receive chapter newsletters, invitations to all our events, access to our chapter Facebook group, and other updates throughout the year. Dues paying members receive an annual To Dragma subscription and have voice and vote on chapter business.

  • Make an Impact

Your annual dues help us provide financial support to all eight Georgia collegiate chapters, the Mary Hall Freedom House, the Arthritis Foundation, AOII Foundation, and other local organizations through giving and volunteering.

Chapter Dues FAQs

WHEN DO I PAY DUES?

AOII Headquarters operates on a July-June fiscal year schedule. Since our rosters are due to headquarters annually March 1st to be billed international dues for the correct number of members, our dues cycle is July 1st- February 28th. To be counted as an alumnae dues-paid member for the 2024 reporting year, your dues must be paid by February 28th 2024.

HOW DO I PAY DUES?

Beginning May 2024, there are two ways you are able to pay for your dues:

  • Online via Givebutter: https://givebutter.com/AOIIAtlanta2025MembershipDues

  • Send a check or cash to the Atlanta Alumnae VP of Finance, Nicole Sullivan. If you are paying by check, please still fill out the membership form on GIvebutter!

WHAT IS FIRST IN FIVE?

First in Five is an AOII International Headquarters initiative where they waive the international dues portion of your first year of alumnae chapter dues if you join your local alumnae chapter within 5 years of graduation. We request a $20 donation to cover the local portion of your dues to help with local operating expenses and Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Association dues. For questions regarding First in Five membership, please email Salena Sandford Staub at salenamoon@bellsouth.net

WHAT IS LIFE LOYAL?

The Life Loyal AOII program is for all collegiate and alumnae members of AOII and is a fabulous way to give back to the Fraternity! AOII’s membership is constantly growing, and connectivity with our membership is key to AOII’s success. Once a member of Life Loyal, you will receive perks such as a lifetime subscription to To Dragma, and discounted international dues to AOII. This is why Life Loyal dues are $16 cheaper than our Standard dues.

For more information about the Life Loyal program, go to the AOII Headquarters website.

WHAT ARE SECONDARY DUES?

Secondary dues are for sisters who are primary members of another alumnae chapter, but want to participate in or support another alumnae chapter. For example, Barbara Woods lives in New York and is a primary member of the NYC Alumnae Chapter. She has paid secondary dues to Atlanta Alumnae for many years to support our local sisters.

Thank you to all 9 secondary members who supported our chapter in 2023!
